Blu-ray Disc (BD), sometimes called "Blu-ray," is an optical disc storage medium designed to supersede the standard DVD format. Its main uses are for storing high-definition video, PlayStation 3 video games, and other data, with up to 25 GB per single layered, and 50 GB per dual layered disc. The disc has the same physical dimensions as standard DVDs and CDs.

Blu-ray is the next-generation digital video disc. It can record, store and play back high-definition video and digital audio, as well as computer data. The advantage to Blu-ray is the sheer amount of information it can hold:

A single-layer Blu-ray disc, which is roughly the same size as a DVD, can hold up to 27 GB of data -- that's more than two hours of high-definition video or about 13 hours of standard video.

A double-layer Blu-ray disc can store up to 50 GB, enough to hold about 4.5 hours of high-definition video or more than 20 hours of standard video. And there are even plans in the works to develop a disc with twice that amount of storage.

After installing 3.1.2, you’ll also be prompted to install v.5.6 of the AT&T carrier settings.

Once finished, your iPhone will restart and immediately alert you to a Carrier Settings update. This is a very small update that will be completed without needing to restart again.

Do you have some important data on your personal computer which you don't want anybody to copy in to their USB Drives or whether you are having a Company and you don't want your employees to copy any official data in to their Drives and take it with them. Lot of people faces similar situations where they don't know how to prevent their data from being copied.

The Best Solution to this problem is to Disable USB Drive on your computer. But it would be very difficult on new machines as they don't have PS2 ports and are compatible only with USB Mouse, USB Keyboard and USB Scanner etc. It is easy to Lock USB ports from BIOS but it will disable USB Entirely which is not a feasible solution.

To disable only your USB Drives, you need to go to Registry Editor.

To open Registry Editor, Go To start -> Type Run.

After that browse to the following key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor

After that Notice Value "Start" in Right Pane of Window

Change the Value of start from 3 to 4 and it will disable all USB storage devices and other USB Devices like USB Keyboard, Mouse would keep on working.

Alternatively, If you Don't want to follow the registry editor Process, you can simply download a free

Tool HERE which will disable USB Storage devices for you as shown in following figure:-

If you know of any other method to disable USB Storage Devices, then please share with us in comments below.

Cooler Master has always been one of the big contenders when it comes to personal computer products.

Today we will be looking at the Cooler Master Gladiator 600 mid-tower chassis. It has very simple lines and an elegant black exterior will it get the thumbs up and survive on the shelves, or will it get the thumbs down and perish! Read on to find out its fate.

There are two models of the Gladiator 600 case one with a side window and one without. The difference in part number is a K for the case without a window and a W for the case with the window. The case being reviewed today did not come with a window. There is a single color available which is Black. The case dimensions are normal for a Mid-Tower case.

Airflow is always important on a case and the Gladiator supports up to five fans. You can install up to four 140mm fans and a 120mm fan for maximum ventilation. Cable management is also important as the enthusiast wants to show off their new case but improper cable management can make a high-end system into mess as cables can get in the way or block airflow.

The Gladiator 600 is very user friendly with a Front I/O Panel, a CPU cooler retaining hole. The next feature is that the PSU fan can be facing up or down position. Long video cards like the GeForce GTX285 should fit with the motherboard tray being 280mm deep. This means that you can fit a 270mm long video card into the case. Cooler Master warns that CPU coolers taller than 6.5 inches (165mm) will not work. Video cards longer than 10.6" will also not work in this case.

Specifications

Motherboard: Micro-ATX/ATX
Drive Bays: 5 x 5.25" External
Drive Bays: 5 x 3.25" Internal
Cooling: Front: 1 x 120mm Blue LED Fan, Top: 1 x 140mm Standard Fan, Optional Rear: 1 x 120mm/140mm Fan, Optional Side: 2 x 120mm/140mm Fan
Front I/O Ports: 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x eSATA, 1 x MIC, 1 x Audio
Net Weight: 21.3 pounds
Dimensions: (L)18.89 x (W)7.95 x (H)17.12 inches
Expansion Slots: 7

This case sells for about $65.00 online and is a solid case that can get the job done and still have some pleasing features to make it an attractive buy.

It's convenient to save files and programs to your desktop. The more you have on your desktop, the slower your computer Run. Run "Desktop Cleanup" from the "Start" menu and follow the on-screen instructions. For pictures and other files, create folders in your "My Documents" folder and organize them there.

Run Disk Defragmenter

"Disk Defragmenter" is a useful PC management program that comes pre-installed on all Windows operating systems. For Windows Vista users, you can run the program on a regular schedule, typically once a week. "Disk Defragmenter" will consolidate the fragmented files on your hard disk to improve its overall performance. Find "Disk Defragmenter" under your Windows "Programs" list and run it. If you are running it for the first time, it might take awhile to complete. It's best to start the program and walk away from the computer for awhile.

Speed up your internet speed by 20 %

click Start then Run and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes. This opens the group policy editor. Then go to:
Local Computer Policy
then Computer Configuration
then Administrative Templates then Network then QOS Packet Scheduler and then to Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth. It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e."By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."
So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%.It works on Win 2000 as well.

Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format created by Adobe Systems (an American computer software company headquartered in San Jose, California, USA. ) in 1993 for document exchange. PDF is used for representing two-dimensional documents in a manner independent of the application software, hardware, and operating system.

Each PDF file encapsulates a complete description of a fixed-layout 2D document (and, with Acrobat 3D, embedded 3D documents) that includes the text, fonts, images, and 2D vector graphics which compose the documents.

In short "PDF" (Portable Document Format) is Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) format. PDF is a proprietary format that allows you to read electronic documents, either on or off line. This format provides a page-by-page view of documents, exactly as they appear in their printed form, as well as allowing keyword search.

Font and graphic information is embedded in the PDF file.
PDF files are based on PostScript, so they print well on almost all printers.

Adobe provides a free Acrobat Reader that allows you to view, navigate, and print PDF files across all major computing platforms. It is the free viewing companion to Adobe Acrobat and to Acrobat Capture(R) software.

The PDF file format has changed several times and continues to evolve, as new versions of Adobe Acrobat were released. There have been nine versions of PDF with corresponding Acrobat releases:

(1993) - PDF 1.0 / Acrobat 1.0

(1994) - PDF 1.1 / Acrobat 2.0

(1996) - PDF 1.2 / Acrobat 3.0

(1999) - PDF 1.3 / Acrobat 4.0

(2006) - PDF 1.7 / Acrobat 8.0

Windows Movie Maker is a basic video creating/editing software included in Microsoft Windows. It contains features such as effects, transitions, titles/credits, audio track, timeline narration, and Auto Movie. New effects and transitions can be made and existing ones can be modified using XML code. Windows Movie Maker is also a basic audio track editing program. It can apply basic effects to audio tracks such as fade in or fade out. The audio tracks can then be exported in the form of a sound file instead of a video file.

Windows Me was the first version to include Windows Movie Maker. Updated versions are included with Windows XP, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, and Windows Vista.

Development of Windows Movie Maker was abandoned after the release of Windows Vista; its replacement, Windows Live Movie Maker, will be included with Windows Live Essentials, a free download from Windows Live; however Microsoft has stated that Windows Live Movie Maker will not have the same features as Windows Movie Maker.

Already installed on newer computers that are running Windows XP, Movie Maker has drag and drop features to make creating and editing your movie easier. Microsoft has many add-ons for this software, and upgrades are available through the website. This is one of the best free video editing software programs available.
