Blu-ray Disc (BD), sometimes called "Blu-ray," is an optical disc storage medium designed to supersede the standard DVD format. Its main uses are for storing high-definition video, PlayStation 3 video games, and other data, with up to 25 GB per single layered, and 50 GB per dual layered disc. The disc has the same physical dimensions as standard DVDs and CDs.

Blu-ray is the next-generation digital video disc. It can record, store and play back high-definition video and digital audio, as well as computer data. The advantage to Blu-ray is the sheer amount of information it can hold:

A single-layer Blu-ray disc, which is roughly the same size as a DVD, can hold up to 27 GB of data -- that's more than two hours of high-definition video or about 13 hours of standard video.

A double-layer Blu-ray disc can store up to 50 GB, enough to hold about 4.5 hours of high-definition video or more than 20 hours of standard video. And there are even plans in the works to develop a disc with twice that amount of storage.

The Best Solution to this problem is to Disable USB Drive on your computer. But it would be very difficult on new machines as they don't have PS2 ports and are compatible only with USB Mouse, USB Keyboard and USB Scanner etc. It is easy to Lock USB ports from BIOS but it will disable USB Entirely which is not a feasible solution.

To disable only your USB Drives, you need to go to Registry Editor.

To open Registry Editor, Go To start -> Type Run.

After that browse to the following key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor

After that Notice Value "Start" in Right Pane of Window

Change the Value of start from 3 to 4 and it will disable all USB storage devices and other USB Devices like USB Keyboard, Mouse would keep on working.

Alternatively, If you Don't want to follow the registry editor Process, you can simply download a free

Tool HERE which will disable USB Storage devices for you as shown in following figure:-

If you know of any other method to disable USB Storage Devices, then please share with us in comments below.

Cooler Master has always been one of the big contenders when it comes to personal computer products.

Today we will be looking at the Cooler Master Gladiator 600 mid-tower chassis. It has very simple lines and an elegant black exterior will it get the thumbs up and survive on the shelves, or will it get the thumbs down and perish! Read on to find out its fate.

There are two models of the Gladiator 600 case one with a side window and one without. The difference in part number is a K for the case without a window and a W for the case with the window. The case being reviewed today did not come with a window. There is a single color available which is Black. The case dimensions are normal for a Mid-Tower case.

Airflow is always important on a case and the Gladiator supports up to five fans. You can install up to four 140mm fans and a 120mm fan for maximum ventilation. Cable management is also important as the enthusiast wants to show off their new case but improper cable management can make a high-end system into mess as cables can get in the way or block airflow.

The Gladiator 600 is very user friendly with a Front I/O Panel, a CPU cooler retaining hole. The next feature is that the PSU fan can be facing up or down position. Long video cards like the GeForce GTX285 should fit with the motherboard tray being 280mm deep. This means that you can fit a 270mm long video card into the case. Cooler Master warns that CPU coolers taller than 6.5 inches (165mm) will not work. Video cards longer than 10.6" will also not work in this case.

Specifications

Motherboard: Micro-ATX/ATX
Drive Bays: 5 x 5.25" External
Drive Bays: 5 x 3.25" Internal
Cooling: Front: 1 x 120mm Blue LED Fan, Top: 1 x 140mm Standard Fan, Optional Rear: 1 x 120mm/140mm Fan, Optional Side: 2 x 120mm/140mm Fan
Front I/O Ports: 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x eSATA, 1 x MIC, 1 x Audio
Net Weight: 21.3 pounds
Dimensions: (L)18.89 x (W)7.95 x (H)17.12 inches
Expansion Slots: 7

This case sells for about $65.00 online and is a solid case that can get the job done and still have some pleasing features to make it an attractive buy.

SUN VALLEY, Idaho (Reuters) - Google Inc plans to attack Microsoft Corp's core business by taking on the software giant's globally dominant Windows operating system for personal computers. Google is developing an operating system (OS) for personal computers, in a direct challenge to market leader Microsoft and its Windows system.

Google said netbooks with Chrome OS could be on sale by the middle of 2010.

Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS," the firm said in its official blog.

The operating system, which will run on an open source licence, was a "natural extension" of its Chrome browser, the firm said.

The news comes just months before Microsoft launches the latest version of its operating system, called Windows 7.

Google, which already offers a suite of e-mail, Web and other software products that compete with Microsoft, said on Tuesday it would launch a new operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks.

Microsoft shares fell 1.4 percent to $22.22 in early Nasdaq trade on Wednesday. Google shares rose 1.2 percent to $401.36.

Google and Microsoft have locked horns over the years in a variety of markets, from Internet search to mobile software. It remains to be seen if Google can take market share away from Microsoft on its home turf, with Windows currently installed in more than 90 percent of the world's PCs.

The news comes as executives from the world's biggest technology and media companies, including Google and Microsoft, gather in Sun Valley, Idaho for an annual conference organized by boutique investment bank Allen & Co.

A spokesman for Microsoft declined to comment.

Key to success will be whether Google can lock in partnerships with PC makers, such as Hewlett-Packard Co and Dell Inc, which currently offer Windows on most of their product lines.

Hewlett-Packard Co , the world's largest PC brand, declined to confirm if it would sell PCs running on the new operating system.

"We are looking into it" said HP spokeswoman Marlene Somsak, referring to the operating system. "We want to understand all the different operating systems available to customers, and will assess the impact of Chrome on the computer and communications industry."

Google's Chrome Internet browser, launched in late 2008, remains a distant fourth in the Web browser market, with a 1.2 percent share in February, according to market research firm Net Applications. Microsoft's Internet Explorer continues to dominate with nearly 70 percent.

Today we will be talking about Intel Core2Quad Q6600. It is the best selling Quad in the market. This is a crazy insane thing for you even if you are a gamer or you want to work on 3D softwares or even if you are a programmer. It has got 8MB L2 cache memory, runs at 2.40Ghz stock clock speed. Front side bus(FSB) speed in it is 1066. This 65nm processor is highly Overclockable. On comparison with other Intel's Quad Q8200, which is a 45nm processor and use 7X multiplier, Q6600 can Overclock at much higher speed because it use 9X multiplier, which is just a pleasing present for Overclockers, to make it more clear let us take an example, at 1600mhz FSB, Q6600 runs at 3.6ghz. At the same 1600mhz FSB, Q8200 runs at 2.8ghz .

You can overclock this monster upto 3.0GHz on stock cooling, as moving forward while overclocking it while using it with third party cooler or even water cooling, you can realy push the limits and can get incridible result that makes it best value for its money.

Earlier games were using only two cores but now most of the new games are coming out like Crysis, Far Cry2, Devil may Cry4, Half Life2 Episode2, GTAIV and all can use four cores of a Quad processor, which makes more sense to buy a Quad processor rather then a Core2Duo processor.

This processor is cracking all bechmarks n can compete with those processors which are selling costlier then it. At the time it launched it was priced in between 800$-1000$, but now after prices starts dropping it got cheaper & cheaper, so now you can buy this processor with in 10,000Rs(INR), which you can say is a great deal after knowing the amount of power it got under this small chip.

Conclusion : As a conclusion we can only say, go and get one of these proccessor and start exploring its limits & true power. We completely give a thumbs up to this product, its a revolutionary product.
